What you sow is what you reap

Or simply — output equals or is always greater than input. It’s a universal principle you can’t fight against no matter what you do or who you are.

It amazes me to the ends to hear wanna be entrepreneurs talk about their ideas but don’t do anything about it. They’re waiting for that perfect time to get things going.

Sales professionals wait for the right psychological moment to hop on a call and crack the sale. You and I know that’s never going to happen.

People wanting a chiseled physique or admirable strength but live off a diet of junk food, alcohol and cigarettes. Not happening. Appreciate your intention but that’s never enough to achieve anything significant in life.

Aspiring writers wanting to get better at their craft but failing to take out time to read the kind of literature they want to write. Or worse — are stuck with Shakespeare and Milton when they actually want to write something that’s relevant to their audience.

I’ve come to believe that the quality and type of input determines your output. It doesn’t matter what you want to do or achieve keeping this principle in mind just might save you a lifetime of struggle, pain and miserly.

It’s not a shortcut. It’s what makes sense. What you sow is what you reap.
